نتوجه قلباً وروحاً وتضامنًا مع ضحايا تفجير أجهزة البايجر التي صمّمته ونفذته قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي (IOF). أكثر من 2,800 جريح و8 قتلى في لبنان جراء هجوم شنّته قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي واستهدف أجهزة اتصالات محمولة تُعرف باسم أجهزة النداء/البايجرات. انفجرت مئات أجهزة النداء في الوقت نفسه بعد ظهر يوم الثلاثاء، ما أسفر عن مقتل طفل وسبعة مدنيين، وإصابة آلاف المدنيين وأعضاء حزب الله وعائلاتهم، وسفير إيران لدى لبنان.

هذا ليس «هجومًا سيبرانيًا» بحد ذاته. هذا واحد من أفظع الهجمات الإرهابية التي شهدناها حتى الآن. لقد قامت قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي حرفيًا بتسليح أجهزة الاتصالات التي يستخدمها في أغلب الأحيان العاملون في المستشفيات، وكذلك أفراد الأمن.

منذ الاجتياح الإسرائيلي للبنان عام 1982، توضح استهداف كيان العدو لشبكات التواصل والبنية التحتية في لبنان. لكن ما البنية التحتية التي بقيت لاستهدافها في لبنان بعد خمسة عقود من الاحتلال الفاشل، و15 عامًا من الحرب «الأهلية»، وحرب تموز 2006، وتفجير مرفأ بيروت عام 2020، وخمس سنوات من الأزمة الاقتصادية الحادة التي تركت السكان مع وصول شحيح ومتقطع جدًا إلى المياه والكهرباء والسيولة؟

في هذا التقرير الموجز والمختصر، سنشارك تحليلًا تكنوا–سياسيًا أوليًا يوضح كيف أن هجوم أجهزة البيجر من قِبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي هو هجوم إرهابي على البنية التحتية، وليس هجومًا سيبرانيًا كلاسيكيًا. ومع الأخذ في الاعتبار أن إجراء تحقيق شامل أمر ضروري لكشف كيفية تنفيذ هجوم أجهزة النداء من قبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، سنشارككم أولًا ردنا على التكهنات العامة حول ما لا نعتقد أنه كان يمكن أن يتسبب في هذا الهجوم. ثم سنشارك تكهناتنا الحالية حول نوع التقنيات العسكرية الموجودة التي يمكن إساءة استخدامها لخلق مثل هذا الإرهاب المروع والواسع النطاق. وأخيرًا، سنشارك وجهات نظرنا حول الظروف المادية البيئية والتقنية–السياسية التي ينبغي أخذها في الاعتبار عند التحقيق والسعي لتحقيق العدالة لضحايا هجوم أجهزة النداء من قِبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

🗝️ نظراً إلى كيفية عمل نظام الإرسال اللاسلكي لأجهزة النداء/البايجرات، لا يمكن أن يكون هذا «هجوم برمجيات خبيثة»؛

🗝️ نظراً إلى التوقيت الدقيق والتزامن في وقوع الهجوم عبر عدة مناطق في لبنان، فإن هذا يزيد من احتمالية استخدام طريقة تفجير مزروعة ومثبتة داخل عتاد أجهزة النداء؛

🗝️ من أجل حساب قابلية الاحتراق والكتلة التفاعلية لنموذج جهاز النداء الذي انفجر، سنحتاج إلى فحص قابلية الاحتراق والكتلة التفاعلية لكل مكوّن من مكونات عتاد النموذج المنفجر، سواء بشكل منفصل أو بشكل مترابط، مع رسم خريطة للبنية التحتية اللاسلكية التي يمكن أن تتصل به وتتداخل مع نظام ترحيله؛

🗝️ ولهذا السبب، سنحتاج إلى دراسة واسعة النطاق لإرسالات الرادار في ذلك اليوم ضمن نطاقات التردد العسكرية المعروفة وغير المعروفة التي تستخدمها جميع قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي والقوات الجوية الأمريكية، والتي تمركزت بصورة غير قانونية داخل المجالات الجوية للبنان ومياهه الإقليمية وما يحيط بها؛

🗝️ على سبيل المثال، في 16 و17 سبتمبر 2024، شوهدت طائرتان تابعتان للقوات الجوية الأمريكية للحرب الإلكترونية، معروفتان باسم EC-130H Compass Call، وهما تحلقان بنشاط فوق لبنان في البحر الأبيض المتوسط الشرقي. وقد جرى تعديل طائرة الهجوم الإلكتروني EC-130H بشكل مكثف لتعطيل اتصالات القيادة والسيطرة، وتنفيذ عمليات هجومية مضادة للمعلومات، وتنفيذ أنواع غير مُعلنة من الهجمات الإلكترونية. ويحتاج الباحثون والتقنيون المناهضون للعسكرة بصورة عاجلة إلى إيجاد طرق لرسم خرائط وفحص:

1- المسارات والإشارات التي اتخذتها/أرسلتها طائرات EC-130H فوق لبنان وفلسطين؛

2- تجهيل واخفاء قدرات غير المُعلنة لطائرة EC-130H؛

3- الطرق التي يمكن أن يتفاعل المجهّل مع بنية الاتصالات اللاسلكية ومكونات عتاد أجهزة النداء.

وسيكون من الضروري تكرار الأمر نفسه بالنسبة لجميع الطائرات والسفن ذات الصلة.

🗝️ منذ مشروع ويستفورد (1958-1963)، تعمل وكالة مشاريع البحوث الدفاعية المتقدمة التابعة لوزارة الدفاع الأمريكية (DARPA) ومديرية البحث والتطوير الدفاعي الإسرائيلية (DDR&D) بنشاط على تطوير تكنولوجيا النانو لاستخدامها في الحرب. وبينما يظل هذا المجال شديد السرية، فإننا نعلم أن المتفجرات النانوية الفردية موجودة منذ عدة عقود، وقد جرى اختبارها على نطاق واسع خلال احتلال العراق. ولا يمكننا استبعاد احتمال زرع متفجرات النانو–ثيرميت، أو متفجرات نانوية فردية، داخل الطراز الحديث من أجهزة النداء في طريقها إلى لبنان، ولا سيما أن إسرائيل والولايات المتحدة لا تكترثان قيد أنملة بالخسائر في صفوف المدنيين؛

🗝️ وسيحتاج الباحثون والتقنيون، بطبيعة الحال، إلى رسم خريطة لمسار انتاج وشحن شحنة البايجرات التي انفجرت. وهذه عملية تستغرق وقتًا وتتطلب تعاون عدة جهات.

لا شيء في العالم يمكن أن يبرر أبدًا تسليح شبكة من أجهزة اتصالات الطوارئ لقتل حاملها ومن يوجد في محيطه. هذا الإرهاب الاستعماري لا يمكن احتواؤه، ويجب إيقافه بصورة عاجلة. يجب التحقيق في هجوم أجهزة النداء من قِبل قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، وإعادة التحقيق فيه، وألا يتكرر أبدًا. هذه مهمة عاجلة ينبغي تنفيذها بشكل جماعي. العسكرة هي عدو التاريخ، لأنها المنتج الرئيسي للجهل. يستحق شعب فلسطين ولبنان وجميع شعوب العالم أن يعيشوا بحرية وكرامة. يجب نزع عسكرة الولايات المتحدة بصورة عاجلة جدًا وإنهاء استعمارها بعيدًا عن أجوائنا وأرضنا وبحرنا. وبينما تعتقد قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي أنها تستطيع محو جميع الآثار من خلال تحويل جهاز اتصال للطوارئ إلى سلاح ينفجر ذاتيًا، فإننا لن نتوقف أبدًا عن التتبع، وعن التكاتف معًا نحو تحقيق العدالة التحويلية.

Our hearts go out in grief, in rage and in solidarity with the innumerable victims of the IOF Pager Attack. Over 2,800 injured and 8 killed in Lebanon through an IOF attack targeting portable telecommunication devices known as pagers/bleepers. Hundreds of pagers imploded at the same time this Tuesday afternoon, killing a child and seven civilians while injuring thousands civilians, Hezbollah members and their families and the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon.

This is not a “cyber attack”, per se. This is one of the most horrendous terrorist attacks we have witnessed, so far. The IOF has literally weaponized telecommunication devices that are most commonly used by hospital staff, as well as, security personnel.

Ever since the 1982 Invasion of Lebanon, Isalie has been notorious for brutally targeting Lebanon’s infrastructure. Yet what infrastructure is left to target in Lebanon after five decades of failed occupation, 15 years of “civil” war, the 2006 July War, the 2020 Beirut Port Tafjir and 5 years of acute economic crisis that has left the population with a very scant and intermittent access to water, electricity and liquidity?

In this prompt and succinct report, we will share a brief, preliminary techno-political analysis that shows how the IOF Pager Attack is an infrastructural, terrorist attack, as opposed to a classical cyber attack. While keeping in mind that a thorough investigation is necessary to unravel how the IOF Pager Attack was carried, we will first share with you our response to public speculations around what we don’t think could have caused this attack. Then, we will share our current speculations around the existing type of military technologies that could be abused to create such horrendous and far-reaching terrorism. Finally, we will share our viewpoints around the environmental and techno-political material conditions that need to be considered when investigating and seeking justice for the victims of the IOF Pager Attack.

🗝️ Looking at how the wireless transmission system of pagers/bleepers operate, this cannot be “a malware attack”;

🗝️ Looking at the precise timing and concurrence of the assault across several areas in Lebanon, this increases the likeliness of the use of an implanted detonation method installed within the hardware of the pagers;

🗝️ In order to calculate the combustibility and reaction mass of the pager model that imploded, we would need to probe the combustibility and reaction mass of each hardware component of the imploded model, both in isolation and interconnectively, while also mapping out the wireless infrastructure that could connect to it and interfere in its relay system;🗝️ For that, we would need to extensively study the radar transmissions of the day within both known and unknown military frequency ranges used by all of the IOF and the US Air Force that have been unlawfully positioned within Lebanon’s subaerial fields, territorial waters and their vicinity;

🗝️ For example, on the 16th and 17th of September 2024, two US Air Force electronic attack aircrafts known as the EC-130H Compass Call were spotted actively flying above Lebanon in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. The EC-130H electronic attack aircraft is heavily modified to disrupt command and control communications, perform offensive counter-information operations, and carry out undisclosed types of electronic attacks. Anti-militarist researchers and technologists urgently need to find ways to map out and probe:

1-  the routes and signals taken/sent by the EC-130Hs over Lebanon and Palestine;

2- the agnogenesis(the production of ignorance) around the undisclosed capabilities of the EC-130H;

3- the ways the above could interact with the wireless communication architecture and the hardware components of the pagers.

The same will need to be repeated for all relevant aircrafts and vessels.

🗝️ Ever since Project Westford(1958-1963), the U.S.’ Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and Isalie’s Directorate of Defense Research and Development (DDR&D )have been actively developing nanotechnology for use in warfare. While this field is highly classified, we know that nano-individual explosives exist since several decades and have been widely tested during the Occupation of Iraq. We cannot rule out that nano-thermites, or nano-individual explosives were planted inside of the recent model of pagers on their way to Lebanon, especially that neither Isalie, nor the U.S. care a fig about civilian casualties;

🗝️ Researchers and technologists would need to obviously map out the shipment route of the pagers/bleepers model that imploded. This is a process that takes time and necessitates cooperation from several bodies.

Nothing in the world can ever justify weaponizing a web of emergency communication devices to murder its carrier and their vicinity. This colonial terror cannot be contained, and it urgently needs to be halted. The IOF Pager Attack should be promptly investigated, reinvestigated and never repeated. This is an urgent task to be carried collectively. Militarization is the enemy of history, for it is the chief producer of ignorance. The people of Palestine, of Lebanon and of all of the world deserve to live in freedom and dignity. The U.S. needs to be very urgently demilitarized and decolonized away from our air, land and sea. While the IOF thinks it can erase all traces by turning an emergency communication device into a self-imploding weapon, we will never cease to trace, and come together towards transformative justice.
