في ١٧ نيسان ٢٠٢٥، تقدمت كل من تحالف التضامن مع فلسطين (PSA)، منظمة كيج بريزونرز (Cage Prisoners NPC)، مجلس التضامن الزيمبابوي مع فلسطين، منظمة مدافعي الأحلام في تنزانيا، ومنظمة كينيا من أجل فلسطين (K4P) بشكوى رسمية إلى اللجنة الإفريقية لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب ضد تواطؤ مصر في الإبادة الجماعية بحق الشعب الفلسطيني في غزة. طالبت المنظمات اللجنة باتخاذ تدابير عاجلة لإحالة مصر إلى المحكمة الإفريقية لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب بموجب المادة ٥٨ من الميثاق، وذلك لإلزامها بفتح معبر رفح فوراً والسماح بإدخال الغذاء والمساعدات الأساسية، وإجلاء الجرحى، وتمكين دخول الكوادر الإنسانية والإمدادات اللازمة.

وأكد مقدمو الشكوى أن “مصر، رغم كونها طرفاً في الميثاق الإفريقي لحقوق الإنسان والشعوب، قد أخلت بالتزاماتها القانونية“، مضيفين كيف “مصر تساهم بشكل مباشر وفعال في تفاقم الأزمة الإنسانية في غزة من خلال استمرار إغلاق معبر رفح، وحرمان المدنيين المصابين بجروح خطيرة من الحصول على الرعاية الطبية المنقذة للحياة، وعرقلة قوافل المساعدات الإنسانية، ومنع مرور الكوادر الإنسانية ومواد إعادة الإعمار“.

”في هذه اللحظة الحاسمة من الحساب الأخلاقي العالمي، يدعو تحالف التضامن مع فلسطين القادة الدينيين والثقافيين، والمهنيين القانونيين، وأطراف المجتمع المدني، وهيئات الاتحاد الإفريقي، إلى اتخاذ موقف فوري وموحد.

إننا ندعو:

• الكنائس، والمساجد، والكنس، والمعابد، وكل دور العبادة؛
• المنظمات الدينية والمجالس المشتركة بين الأديان؛
• الزعماء التقليديين والسلطات الثقافية؛
• الخبراء القانونيين، ونقابات المحامين، والمدافعين عن حقوق الإنسان؛
• المنظمات غير الحكومية، والمؤسسات الأكاديمية، والحركات الشعبية؛
• الدول الأعضاء في الاتحاد الإفريقي والمؤسسات القارية؛

إلى الوقوف بحزم ضد تواطؤ مصر وضد عنف النظام الأوسع من الفصل العنصري والإبادة الجماعية الممارس بحق الشعب الفلسطيني.

ونحثكم على:

• رفع أصواتكم عالياً وباستمرار ضد الإبادة الجماعية ودور مصر في تمكينها؛
• تنظيم أيام للصلاة، والذكرى، والاحتجاج، والتوعية؛
• إصدار بيانات عامة وتصريحات قانونية تطالب بممارسة ضغوط دبلوماسية على مصر لفتح معبر رفح؛
• تعبئة المجتمعات المحلية لحملات تضامن منسقة عبر القارة الإفريقية؛
• دعم استراتيجيات المقاطعة وسحب الاستثمارات وفرض العقوبات (BDS) على المتواطئين مع الإبادة.

إن معاناة غزة تُبث على الهواء مباشرةً. صرخات غزة ليست أصداءً من الماضي البعيد، بل هي أصوات شعب محاصر، يناشد العالم من أجل العدالة. تفرض علينا عقيدتنا ألا نقف مكتوفي الأيدي إزاء دماء جيراننا. يتطلب منّا تاريخنا وقوانيننا وإنسانيتنا أن نستجيب بشجاعة وبوضوح وبضمير حي.

فليُذكر هذا الوقت لا بصمتنا، بل بموقفنا المبدئي. وليعلم العالم أن صرخات غزة قد سُمعت في كنائسنا ومساجدنا، وفي معابدنا وأحيائنا، وفي مجامعنا وقاعاتنا الثقافية — وقد قوبلت بالعمل الجاد والمسؤول.“

On April 17, 2025, the Palestine Solidarity Alliance (PSA), Cage Prisoners NPC, Zimbabwe Palestine Solidarity Council, Dreams Defender Organization Tanzania, and Kenya for Palestine (K4P) formally lodged a communication with the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights against Egypt’s complicity in the genocide in Gaza. The coalition is seeking urgent intervention from the Commission to refer Egypt to the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights under Article 58 of the Charter, in order to compel Egypt to immediately open the Rafah border crossing and allow the delivery of food and essential aid, facilitate the evacuation of the wounded, and permit the entry of humanitarian personnel and supplies.

Despite being a State Party to the African Charter on Human and Peoples’ Rights, Egypt has failed to uphold its legal obligations,” the complainants stated. “Instead, it has actively contributed to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza by keeping the Rafah crossing closed, denying critically injured civilians access to lifesaving medical care, blocking humanitarian convoys, and preventing the movement of essential personnel and rebuilding materials.

“In this hour of global moral reckoning, the Palestine Solidarity Alliance calls on religious and cultural leaders, legal professionals, civil society actors, and African Union bodies to take immediate and unified action.

We call on:

* Churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, and all houses of worship;

* Faith-based organisations and interfaith councils;

* Traditional leaders and cultural authorities;

* Legal experts, bar associations, and human rights defenders;

* NGOs, academic institutions, and grassroots movements;

* AU member states and continental institutions;
to stand in firm opposition to Egypt’s complicity and to the broader system of apartheid and genocide being enacted upon the Palestinian people.

We urge you to:

* Speak out boldly and consistently against the genocide and Egypt’s role in enabling it;

* Organise days of prayer, remembrance, protest, and educational engagement; • Issue public declarations and legal statements calling for diplomatic pressure on Egypt to open Rafah;

* Mobilise communities for coordinated solidarity campaigns across Africa;

* Support Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) strategies targeting enablers of genocide;

The suffering in Gaza is being live-streamed in real-time.The cries of Gaza are not echoes from a distant past—they are the living voices of a people under siege, pleading for justice. Our faith demands that we do not stand idly by the blood of our neighbours. The Global South, and Africa in particular, must respond with courage, clarity, and conscience. Our history obliges us. Our laws demand it. Our humanity depends on it.

Let this moment be remembered not for our silence, but for our principled stand. Let the world know that in our churches and mosques, in our temples and townships, in our synagogues and cultural halls, the cries of Gaza are heard — and met with action.”
